Product Overview
· Operation mechanism – The needle valve can be equipped with a variety of different operating mechanisms, including T-handle and cross handle for diver operation. We also offer adapters of different shapes for direct intervention of ROV (underwater robot) or adapters for connecting extension rods to enable remote ROV operation.
· Operating threads – High-precision manufacturing process ensures smooth operation without faults. The subsea needle valve series includes a low torque multi-turn rotation design and a medium and high torque design suitable for partial rotation (270 degree operation).
Anti -spray stem – Needle valves of each size are equipped with a designed stem for maximum torsion (to damage torque) strength and are equipped with a rear seat seal for anti-spray safety features.
· Ambient Sealing – All needle valves are equipped with seals to prevent seawater from intrusion. These seals have been tested at a water depth of 10,000 feet (3050 meters).
· Filler Box Sealing – The packing box seal in each needle valve is designed with a spring-energized lower seal to prove that the packing box seal can be dynamically adjusted according to pressure changes. This feature ensures that the stem is sealed without leakage and no adjustment is required.
· Anti-rotating needle tip – Each needle valve design adopts anti-rotating, self-centering, anti-biting stem tips to provide reliable bubble-grade tight closure.
· Sealed housing or valve cover – The submarine needle valve series includes sealed housings with threaded or bolted connection designs. For threaded sealed housing designs, all are equipped with locking rings to prevent the valve cover assembly from being disassembled without authorization.
· Material Traceability – All components in the Oliver subsea needle valve are material traceability. The needle valve body, needle tip, valve stem and sealed housing are all manufactured according to API 6A PSL3 standards. Complete needle valves are serialized individually and are provided with BS EN 10204 3.1 certified materials and stress testing certificates. Optional EN 10204 certificates with Type 3.2 certification intent are also easily available (evaluating the availability of EN 10204 3.2 steel factory witness certificates upon request).
